Over 100 young girls and boys come together for this annual ceremony.
It’s a day of celebrating abstinence that includes workshops by the Berrien
County Health Department and a concluding pledge ceremony. A majority of
these students become the core group for the Abstinence Only Clubs.

Over 200 high school students and parents from schools throughout Berrien County attend the Freshman 101 College Expo. The expo helps students to prepare for college and encourages them to include college as one of their future goals. Representatives from 20 colleges and universities attend. Students meet with admissions representatives and some are accepted at the Expo.

The Celebrate Life culmination program occurs at the end of each three-month session. This performance allows students to showcase what they’ve learned before their peers and their entire community. Presented as a major production/show of the music and dance, they sing the newly created songs, and perform dramatic interpretations of the songs and issues.

These productions showcase local talent and provide a vehicle for youth to increase their confidence and build self-esteem. Each student presents what he or she has learned in the class sessions. This tour travels to other cities and states.
